The European Union Blacklist is a Non-Profit organisation which has been established to maintain a list of both Grey-Listed and Black-Listed companies and individuals. We work with a variety of global banks, institutions and corporations on an invitation only basis.
The EUB was formed in order to maintain a trusted database of companies and individuals on an impartial basis, and our datasets are shared with Banks, Institutions, Governments, NGOs in Europe, The United States, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Our Clients
We work with a number of Global Banks, Financial Institutions, Monetary Institutions, Governments, NGOs, Hedge Funds, Multinationals and other bodies across the world. As a strictly Non-Profit organisation, we do not charge any membership fees or subscription services under any circumstances.
The EUB was formed in order for the world’s top global institutions to collaborate lists of untrustworthy and, blacklisted individuals and corporations, in order to enhance efficient work practices within the EU and Globally. Although we are based in the European Union, our lists are used and access by global monetary, economic and financial institutions.
Listing Criteria
Misrepresentation
& Fraud
This is one of the main areas we cover under the EUB Guidelines 2022. The List covers companies or individuals who have misrepresented information, or provided fraudulent documentation or claims to any of our partnered Institutions, Governments, NGOs, Corporations, Banks, Financial Institutions.
Anti-Money Laundering
We have access to globally updated lists for companies that are suspected of being involved in Anti-Money Laundering Activities. Our partnered institutions use us to check that corporates or individuals they are dealing with do not, or have ever been on any such lists in the past.
Dealing with Blacklisted Entities
Any company who has facilitated or entered into any transactions, either directly or indirectly, can be present on this Directory Criteria. This includes dealing with sanctioned, blacklisted or prohibited Companies, Individuals or Nations, as per the regulations of the European Union, in coordination with International Sanctions Lists.
Non-Performance & Breach of Protocol
The newest criteria of the EUB came into force in November 2021, in order for Banks, Financial Institutions and Global Monetary Institutions to compile and share lists of Companies or Individuals that have wasted significant time or resources, by not performing on Financing or Facility Agreements, or breaching European Laws and Protocols on Finance. This category must include evidence of Financial Loss by the Reporting Party.
Please note that the above are only the four most popular criteria under which the EUB either Grey-Lists or Black-Lists companies. In reality, the EUB maintains a 500-Point Ledger which highlights several defaults or complaints that can be made of any company, corporate or individual. This list can only be accessed by our partnered institutions, and is not available to the general public.
As per EU Regulations, any company placed on the list is notified immediately, and is provided the opportunity to respond to the allegations which have been made against them.

Listing Procedure
Any individual or entity who is added to the list is sent an initial acknowledgment email or letter (sent by Registered Post), during which they are provided 30 Days to Respond to the claims made.
If no response is received, the file gets processed after 30 Days and the party is added to the appropriate list as per EUB Rules and Regulations (Latest Update 16.5.40 2022). If the filing is disputed, claimants must attach information or evidence to support their claim.
A committee consisting of 10 Adjudicators (one member from each of our Top-10 Global Institutions) meet once a month in order to review any disputed files. Any decision made by the committee is final, and a name can only then be removed off the list by a request from the Institution who filed the request in the first place.
All EUB Members review the Rules and Regulations framework on an annual basis, which forms the foundation of our Listing Procedure and Continuation Criteria.
